Jillian began her martial arts journey back in 2009 when she first started studying the dynamic and physically demanding discipline of Muay Thai. This form of kickboxing proved to be an effective way for her to get in shape and learn how to properly execute a punch with precision and power. However, it wasn't long before she discovered the beauty and practicality of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, an art that emphasizes technique and strategy, and she quickly became captivated by its complexities and depth. In 2011, Jillian faced the significant challenge of being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Despite this, she feels that if it weren’t for her dedicated martial arts training and the unwavering support from her team, she might not be as active and healthy as she is today. Jillian continues to practice both martial arts and proudly holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, demonstrating her commitment and perseverance in the face of adversity.
